The included settings produce good results for a wide range of common printing needs, and it is easy to extend the profiles for specific cases.
You should be able to unpack these settings under the directory returned by "Show Configuration Folder" under the Cura "Help" menu. You can also pick and choose files, dropping them into the subdirectories as shown below.
The print volume is set to x xas there have been reports of topping out at in the Z axis, and some space is needed to lift the head off the print when finishing.Monoprice MP10 Unboxing Setup First Print
There is nothing specific to V1 or V2 editions of the printer that should need to change. There are multiple conflicting goals with FFF quality settings. Layer height, shell thickness, infill, print and movement speeds, all interact with quality and overall speed, and there isn't a single correct answer.
For example, a large layer height with slower print speed is ideal for reasonably fast dimentionally accurate printing of low-detail parts. The provided default qualities are a small sampler of the most common goals. It is quite likely you will run into special cases for which none of these are suitable, but any are a reasonable starting point for your particular print job.
Unfortunately, in Cura this value is rounded to 4 digits - for instance 0. That loss of precision will become a slow cumulative error, making the magic numbers requiring more than 4 decimal places potentially worse than more "round" numbers due to aliasing harmonics. I'm happy to have someone prove me wrong. In the meantime, if you'd like quality settings of those or other layer heights, it's easy enough to do within Cura.
Magic Numbers not included: 0. How many different nozzles are people actually using? Nine seems excessive. How about 0. While trying to use the updated profiles for Cura recently October put up on Monoprice's MP Select Mini product pageit seems like something got lost in translation. For instance, "Traditional Layer heights" are actually variants of nozzle size. Printing speeds are redundantly set to different, conflicting values in profile, variant, and quality settings, such that it's unclear which will take precedence.
There are many settings that are inappropriate to defaults: specific to the part, the material, the bed adhesion method in use, or experimental or other anecdotally favorite settings that work only with special tuning or conditions. For lack of a better home and poor othogonality, they have snuck into the wrong places.
These settings try to avoid this. This wiki is not affiliated with Monoprice. To help support this wiki please see this page. Firmware, Software, Drivers, Profiles, etc User Tools Log In. Does anyone have settings that work for them? With a x bed, it isn't just a matter of using something that's similar. If someone has a working definition it can be pulled into our codebase and shipped with future Cura releases.
No testing will be done from our side so the profile needs to be thoroughly tested and be compliant with our guidelines before we pull it in. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Our efforts consist of 2 layers. First; connect medical institutions and hospitals to local 3D Printing hubs to help them print parts of which a 3D model already exists. And second, contribute to design the necessary part and then have it printed via a local 3D printing hub.

You can either post the settings manually, take screen shots of your configuration, or export your settings.
I have a Wanhao, but I'm unsure about what exactly you need. If you give me a bit more info, I can help! Also, a question, will this plugin adversely affect my prints in any way?
I worry about the Y moves. Here is my profile I am using for my Maker Select v2. Layer Height:. Status: error. Thanks for all of the information! Give me a while to collate all of this and I'll come up with my best guess for the printer profile settings. Hey, how does this printer prime? If it primes above the bed, can you tell me approx how high? Retraction Length: 0. Abort snapshot when out of bounds - enabled Printer Position Tolerance - 0. If your printer primes at a height ABOVE your layer height, enter that value here, or enter a value slightly above your layer height 0.
Also, if you have already installed, please re-install. I have found and fixed a bug that could prevent the default profile settings from loading on startup doah! See issue 84 for details. Priming depends on the slicer, for me. I usually have it zero everything, pull up a few mm, extrude some filament and start printing.
Different slicers do different things afterwards, though. S3D zeroes the Z axis again and drags the nozzle all over my print surface, whereas other slicers just go to the specified XYZ point. Yes that is exactly what I meant. You can set it just above the largest layer height for your nozzle. Maybe 0. Do you ever prime below that height? I have added custom Gcode to all my slicers for that, so I don't remember what the original settings were.
I prime at 15mm high, so I can clean up the filament afterwards. I'm not sure what this setting does shouldn't Octolapse only care about what happens after the print has started?
By the way, can I use one of the existing profiles to test Octolapse out now I just installed it for the first timeor do I have to wait for you to make a release with these settings?Firstly, you're going to want to make a custom printer profile in Cura.Turske serije preko fb
All you really need to make sure is that the bed dimensions are correct, along with the filament and nozzle size, and have heated bed checked. I copied those from the custom version of Cura that comes with the printer. And finally, I've included a screenshot of my Cura printing settings.
Obviously, you can tweak some of these like print speed or temperature, layer height, etc. The raft settings are the actual important part, if you print with a raft these will be the best settings for the raft to print successfully. It's a pretty good raft, relatively thin, easy to lift and easy to take off. The stock Cura raft setting outright failed for me, but these raft settings work perfectly on this printer.
These might not be the fastest settings, but for me, they seem to be a good middle ground of the printers capabilities. With all of these settings input into Cura, you should be printing perfectly fine with the latest version of Cura.
Any idea how to change the height the Z axis will move to after a print? Moving it all the way to the lowest stop seems to be too much, especially when I'm only printing things of layers.Sony sound bar keeps switching inputs
Is there a gcode value I can adjust depending on the height of the model I'm printing? The sample files included on the SD card have this kind of function where the build plate seems to move down only mm from the top of the print.
No matter what I can't seem to make the extruder fan turn off. Is there something I'm missing? I've unchecked the box in Cura but that does not seem to matter. Is that a problem with the stock firmware? I'm still using 3.
My upper fan cooling the extruder runs always, the lower fan to cool the part starts after the first layer. All 3 of the stock fans failed me one stopped, two were extremely noisy within the first month. I bought higher CFM replacements that work well.
Thank you.Saran wrap stomach with vicks
